Returns & Refunds Policy

We aim to ensure you are satisfied with every purchase from Mitae. This Returns & Refunds Policy sets out when and how you can request returns, replacements, or refunds for orders placed on https://mitaebeauty.com, both within India and internationally.


1. General Conditions

Due to the nature of beauty and personal care products, returns are limited to specific cases to ensure hygiene and safety:

We generally accept returns or replacements only when:

  • Products are received in a damaged, leaked, or defective condition.
  • Incorrect products are received (wrong item, shade, or quantity) compared to your order.
  • Products are past or near expiry at the time of delivery.

We do not accept returns for products that have been opened, used, or partially consumed, except where there is a clear quality issue or damage reported on delivery.​


2. Return/Replacement Window

You must raise a return or replacement request within:

  • India orders: within [2–5] days of the delivery date.
  • International orders: within [2–5] days of the delivery date (based on carrier tracking).

Requests made after this period may not be accepted.


3. Non‑Returnable Items

The following items are generally non‑returnable unless received in a damaged or defective condition:

  • Products that have been opened, used, or tampered with.
  • Items purchased during clearance or final sale events (if labelled as non‑returnable).
  • Free gifts, samples, or promotional items.
  • Personal care items where the seal is broken for hygiene reasons (for example, some applicators, tools, or accessories).

4. International Return Eligibility

For international orders, returns are generally only accepted where:

  • You received a damaged, defective, or incorrect product; or
  • The product is expired or near expiry upon delivery.

We may not be able to accept returns for reasons such as change of mind, dislike of texture/fragrance, or shade mismatch on international orders because of customs and cosmetic regulations in many countries.


5. How to Request a Return or Replacement

To raise a return or replacement request:

  1. Contact us at [support@mitaebeauty.com] or via our customer support channel within the specified time frame.
  2. Provide your order number, contact details, and a clear description of the issue.
  3. Share photos or videos of the product, outer packaging, shipping label, and any visible damage/defect.

Our team will review your request and may contact you for additional information, if required.


6. Return Pickup and Inspection

For India Orders

  • If your request is approved, we will arrange a pickup through our courier partner where possible, or ask you to self‑ship the product to a specified address.​
  • Products must be returned in their original packaging, along with all accessories, freebies, and invoices.

For International Orders

For international customers, we may:

  • Arrange a pickup with our logistics partner where supported; or
  • Ask you to self‑ship the item with a trackable service after we issue a Return Authorization.

You must ensure all required customs documentation (including commercial invoice, airway bill, and Return Authorization reference) is properly attached so that the package can clear customs on return. Missing documentation may lead to delays, extra charges, or rejection of the return by customs.

Once we receive the returned item, it will undergo a quality inspection. Based on the inspection, we will approve or reject the return/refund request.


7. Duties, Taxes, and Shipping on Returns

Original shipping fees, customs duties, and import taxes paid at the time of import are generally non‑refundable, unless required by local law or recovered from the carrier or customs authority.

Where we arrange a return label, we may deduct return shipping costs and any non‑recoverable customs or handling charges from your refund, except where the return is due to our error (damaged, defective, or incorrect product).


8. Refunds

If a refund is approved:

  • Refunds will be initiated to the original payment method used at the time of purchase (or as store credit, where applicable).
  • For India orders, refunds are generally processed within [5–10] business days after approval; timelines may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
  • For international orders, refunds may take longer due to additional time for return transit and customs clearance; your bank or payment provider may need extra time to credit the amount.

In the case of Cash on Delivery orders (India), refunds may be processed via bank transfer, UPI, or store credit after we collect your details.

Shipping charges, COD fees, or convenience charges (if any) may not be refundable, except where the return is due to our error (wrong or damaged product shipped).


9. Cancellations

  • Orders can typically be cancelled only before they are processed or shipped.
  • Once an order is packed or dispatched, it may not be possible to cancel it. You may instead follow the Returns & Refunds process, where eligible.
  • For prepaid orders cancelled before dispatch, refunds will be processed back to the original payment method.

10. Exchange Policy

At this time, we do not offer direct exchanges for products. If you wish to replace an item, you may raise a return request (where eligible), and once processed, place a new order for your desired product.​
